Hi Daniel,
I use ubuntu 14.04. And for me the error message looks similar, because
faac does not recognize the parameters given by Audex:
Freeware Advanced Audio Coder
FAAC 1.28
/usr/bin/faac: unrecognized option '--title'
/usr/bin/faac: unrecognized option '--artist'
/usr/bin/faac: unrecognized option '--album'
/usr/bin/faac: unrecognized option '--year'
/usr/bin/faac: unrecognized option '--track'
/usr/bin/faac: unrecognized option '--disc'
/usr/bin/faac: unrecognized option '--genre'
Usage: /usr/bin/faac [options] [-o outfile] infiles ...
<infiles> and/or <outfile> can be "-", which means stdin/stdout.
See also:
"/usr/bin/faac --help" for short help on using FAAC
"/usr/bin/faac --long-help" for a description of all options for FAAC.
"/usr/bin/faac --license" for the license terms for FAAC.
Best regards
