I understand this might be too costly, but couldn't you cross-reference
the "outdated metadata" against the list of apps (in progress of being)
installed and modify the preview accordingly?
We don't refresh the background data historically because you could see
the results below the preview, not sure if that behaviour is what we
want still, but from UX perspective this is probably best - the just-
installed app disappears from the More suggestions category (and rightly
so), so to remain somewhere meaningful in the "list of previews", we'd
have to switch the user to browse the Installed category, or lose
context, 'cause suddenly the apps that surrounded the selected one were
different than the one the user saw. Or we'd have to close the preview -
worse still...
