Just now I tested im-config from trusty-proposed.
I confirmed that can enable input fcitx by Starting the webbrowser-app.
thank you it works.

CLUTTER_IM_MODULE=xim
QT_IM_MODULE=fcitx
IM_CONFIG_PHASE=1
QT4_IM_MODULE=fcitx
GTK_IM_MODULE=fcitx
Tested package version:
