Public bug reported:
ubuntu-bug reports vlc not being an ubuntu package, but the version
reported by "dpkg -l | grep vlc" matches the version found in ubuntu
repositories. This there are two possibilities:
1. ubuntu-bug doesn't handle version strings proper
2. ubuntu-bug matches additional information, but does not inform about these
I would expect ubuntu-bug
1. to match even complicated version strings proper
2. tell about other valuable information why it thinks this is not a "genuie
ubuntu package"
3. I'd expect ubuntu-bug to report any bugs about packages found in ubuntu-ppa
to the ppa maintainer automatically, not bailing out leaving me alone about bug
reports.
What I am seeing is at least bad behavior.
