Public bug reported: Since Likewise Open was discontinued I removed it and I am now struggling to join my machine to an Active Directory domain. I installed realmd 0.15.0-1 and "realm discover" displays the correct realm, name, type and so on.
Unfortunately "realm join" crashes, possibly because of this recently patched bug: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/realmd/realmd/commit/?id=761fc873a5089ecd9e95fc77511fa07338d05b44 In fact, there is no full_name_format in /etc/sssd/sssd.conf Then I removed sssd.conf and tweaked the behavior of realmd according to http://www.freedesktop.org/software/realmd/docs/realmd-conf.html#realmd- conf-active-directory Using "default-client = winbind" instead of sssd "realm join" is now somewhat working, but I still cannot create a functional "enterprise login" from gnome-control-center (the newly created user cannot login).
