Public bug reported:

In latest Gutsy, booting with a USB drive plugged in causes my md RAID10
to fall apart. On the last occassion, I got a complete hang, too, but
this is not the main focus of this bug report. Rebooting without the
device plugged in worked, but the array had to resync. This is almost
certainly due to a drive renaming problem. It seems that for similar
reasons I cannot boot from a USB drive.
