This may or may not be caused by the same issue. When using a Java (swing) application called Jdownloader, whenever it opens a new window or dialogue box, it will be transparent with only the window border showing the first time it is displayed. If I close it and open the same dialogue again, I can see the window contents. Also, if I maximise the window, I can see some of the contents, but they are entirely distorted and unusable. Disabling the Animations plugin has no effect. Running 14.04.
