Public bug reported:
A regression similar to #1123984 has appeared since the upgrade to
14.04.
Although the first window where you select the repository always ignored
the window placement settings, the main window after opening a
repository did work properly, now it does not and worse it is full-
screen sized but not maximised meaning you can't see it all.
