I'm seeing the same symptoms. For me these popups are due to kernel crash files in /var/crash. Removing those files makes the popups go away at the next login, but that in no way solves the problem here.
I can also add that pressing "Report problem..." doesn't do anything for me; the system-crash-notification process just finishes and the crash file remains, thus causing the dialog to pop up again. That, btw, is exactly the same behavior as pressing "Cancel". Pressing that button ought to make the report go away permanently, but the crash file remains and so the notification is back again at the next login. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1304256 Title: unusual system-crash-notification has no explanatory To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/1304256/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
