Chris I can confirm that the bug is still present after loading the kernel installed by package:
linux- image-3.15.0-031500rc5-generic_3.15.0-031500rc5.201405091635_amd64.deb The problem remains identical to the standard Ubuntu kernel (as described in my initial report). I have not altered the tags on my report this time as I am unsure of the procedure here.
