The fix mentioned in comment #33 is available in the upstream 3.15-rc5 kernel. A PPA of this kernel can be found at http://kernel.ubuntu.com /~kernel-ppa/mainline/ and instructions on how to install and uninstall it are available at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds
