Public bug reported:
I am using Trusty Tahr on my LG Google Nexus 4. Since the first
installation and with all updates (i keep it up to date using the
updater) all callers are complaining about bad audio quality. I myself
don't have problems as the listener. I checked how it sounds when being
the caller on the other side and it sounds like a 4-bit audio voice with
drop outs. What is the problem here? I don“t have dualboot - i have
Ubuntu Touch installed with the radio image from Android - dunno which
version of the radio image though.
A friend of me has the same phone and the same problems using the
developer branch of Trusty Tahr 14.04 - he has got another provider and
lives in another city - so i think it's not related to the network
provider.
Are there any log files i could check during a phone call or enable some
debug logging in a specific component? Or is it related to some mixer
settings that are wrong? Or could it be a wrong radio image installed?
(WLAN and everything else works as it should)
I hope someone can help.
Regards,
Henrik
