Have the same problem on Kubuntu 14.04, ethernet connection breaks down
on high traffic load (e.g. rsync over GigE) after a while, and then it
turns on an off, but it's not working anymore. After that I am not able
to shutdown or reboot the machine, it crashes the system while shutdown.
