gstreamer0.10 and 1.0 are not interchangeable. You can't just change the dependencies to gstreamer1.0 and expect the program to work. The PPA you cite added gstreamer1.0 dependencies, but it kept the python-gst0.10 dependency (which pulled the other gstreamer0.10 dependencies that were removed).
Basically, the PPA didn't change anything (other than adding unused gstreamer1.0 dependencies). gstreamer0.10 is still available in trusty, so radiotray will probably not be altered there unless it's an issue worthy of SRU. Removing trusty tag.. I see you reported the bug upstream: https://bitbucket.org/carlmig /radio-tray/issue/202/set-dependencies-with-gstreamer10 The program's author has done a lot of the porting already, but has not released a new version: https://bitbucket.org/carlmig/radio-tray/commits/c070973cf2a881aec83b93a0aebacfbb7fa847c6 ** Tags removed: trusty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1301765 Title: Need to use gstreamer1.0 dependencies To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/radiotray/+bug/1301765/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
