Hello Raymond, Does the above not sound familiar or at least simular to my issue? See #1249705
As I have stated many times, there is an issue with 13.10 and now apparently inherited/passed on to 14.04. I just went from a complete working 12.10 Quantal to 14.04 via 13.10 and now the HDMI audio is gone again. I can not stress any better that there is an HDMI bug with 13.10 and above. As I stated, complete working 12.10 Quantal.... I had full HDMI and S/PDIF surround sound output with the same motherboard and hardware as in #1249705. If you remember Raymond that you pointed me to David or Stephen, that was a bust. Developers..... ! This is a know issue and Must be looked into. It has been almost a year and No One is looking into this. As I suggested, Get the ALSA and Pulse audio Devs on the sam page or find someone to develope a One Piece Audio Package so there is less fiddling around for the users. Get this Fixed once and for all so people can enjoy their HTPC. Thanks and good luck to those of you that have the HDMI issues. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1311939 Title: alsa-driver no HDMI audio on Ubuntu 14.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1311939/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
