Since I needed to re-install Feisty anyway (because of issues related to Norton Partition Magic and gparted), I thought of giving Gutsy a try and maybe helping by submitting but reports and all that.
I really don't care that much about nvidia not working properly (and other issues related to synaptic and the alsamixer); I know Gutsy is in alpha status and I don't expect support. The reason I'm back to Feisty is because the Intel compilers (for c++ and Fortran) perform some kind of sniffing in the OS and refuse to install even if all the dependencies are satisfied (through sym links, downgrading, etc.)... And those are the only two packages/programs I need to get my work done. -- nvidia-glx-config makes the x-server crash (Tribe 5) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/134938 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
