Another update:
I build the Vanilla 3.14 Kernel and removed the NVIDIA Graphics Card in an 
attemp to isolate the issue. No success so far. Actually it turns out the 
problem is not related to the NVIDIA Card. I get the same noise without the 
card installed.

It seems to get a bit better under high cpu load though.... strange? Any
help would be appreciated.
