Yes, I did run libdvdcss just now as per the instructions.

It still does not work.  By commercial DVD, I meant something with
AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders and .vob files, menus, etc., that starts
automatically when inserting the disk and selecting a player to open the
disk as opposed to a single avi file.

I have also tried MPlayer: File>Disk>Open DVD and it does not work.

It plays readily with VLC.
