You're quite right ! This was a fresh Ubuntu 14.04 install except for the LDAP conf which was modified following an ubuntu 12.04 guideline and it happens to modify the /etc/pam.d/common-session
My mistake, I have missed the shift from upstart to systemd in the 14.04. I have done a : sudo dpkg-reconfigure libpam-ldapd libnss-ldapd nslcd ldap-auth-config And the shutdown menu work as expected. I there anything I an do to close the bug ? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1313726 Title: irrelevant shutdown menu at login screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-greeter/+bug/1313726/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
