I'm not sure this is an issue with im-config. I just updated im-config package then make me can input Chinese words in webapp. so I guess that maybe related.
In LiberOffice software, gedit, web browser(chrome and firefox) and other softwares I used, It never happened, I can input Chinese words correctly. I only met this problem in webapp (Amazon webapp and Telegram Unity Webapp). Sorry, I don't know how to judge this issue belongs to im-config or webbrowser-app package.
