Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org-writer

When I add the 'Superscript' and 'Subscript' buttons to the Formatting
toolbar, pressing them has no effect. I can still set subscript and
superscript text using Format -> Character... -> Position.

To add the buttons I press the down-arrow at the far right of the
formatting toolbar and press 'Customise Toolbar'. Then, under
'Toolbars', I press 'Add', select the 'Format' category, select
'Subscript' or 'Superscript' and then press 'Add'. The buttons then
appear in the formatting toolbar.

If I then select some text and press the Subscript or Superscript
button, the text does not appear to change. If I press Subscript or
Superscript and start to type, the typed text does not change either. If
I select some text which has been made sub/superscript by other means,
the appropriate Subscript or Superscript button shows the correct state
(that is, the button relief changes to denote that super/subscript is
active). However, pressing either button still has no effect.
