I investigated this a bit but forgot to report back to the bug. I didn't
find anything useful to report really. The call was making it into the
backend but the sorting was not getting back to the view correctly. I'm
certain this worked when I implemented it, but that doesn't mean that
I'm not doing something wrong here.
