so just to recap in instruction form
1. get your system to latest mods with: terminal > apt-get
update && apt-get upgrade -y (leave terminal open when finished)
2. type> cd /etc/modprobe.d/
2.1 open alsa-base with your favourite text editor, i use nano:
terminal > nano alsa-base.conf
