Anders Bruun Olsen, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. As per http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4481#bios an update to your BIOS is available (F9). If you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate does it change anything? If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette . Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags added: bios-outdated-f9 ** Changed in: linux-lts-saucy (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low ** Changed in: linux-lts-saucy (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete ** Summary changed: - Linux-image 3.11.0-17-generic can't boot + [Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H (rev. 1.x)] Linux-image 3.11.0-17-generic can't boot -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1287127 Title: [Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H (rev. 1.x)] Linux-image 3.11.0-17-generic can't boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-lts-saucy/+bug/1287127/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
