I'm not sure I can believe that this is actually true.  Are you saying
that there is a bug in LibreOffice which prevents sounds on custom
animations, and that this bug has been present for *THREE YEARS*, and is
still not fixed, and is set to priority *MEDIUM*?  I'm sorry, but that
is completely baffling to me.

Playing audio along with individual slide events (not just slide
transiitions) is a basic and fundamental feature of slideshow software.
Slideshow software that does not have this feature has not yet reached
public beta quality, let alone version 4.1.  You cannot expect people to
use Impress over alternatives with this bug in place.
