Same issue on linux mint 17,i tried with kernel 3.15 but the problem persist. i notice that if i remove psmouse module with "rmmod psmouse" the touchpad is recognized as "AT Raw Set 2 keyboard" instead of "PS/2 Logitech Wheel Mouse". The touchpad in asus x550ld must be recognized as elantech touchpad but i can't find a way to do that...
