1) Could you please comment to if all of the following non-default kernel
parameters are required to use your laptop:
pcie_aspm=force drm.vblankoffdelay=1 i915.i915_enable_rc6=1 i915.semaphores=1
i915.powersave=1 "acpi_os_name=Microsoft Windows XP"
2) Did this problem not occur in a release prior to 14.04?
