I can't reproduce it in gutsy either. Please give the output of 'dpkg -s openoffice.org | grep Version'. It seems there is a similar bug report with OpenOffice found here: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=75105 Is impress still crashing for you? No new releases have fixed the issue?
