Looks the same to me but sound works and is detected in dmesg: ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ dmesg | grep snd [ 115.230288] snd_hda_intel 0000:00:1b.0: irq 44 for MSI/MSI-X That's with Ubuntu 12.04.02 LTS 64 bit on the same system (LiveCD). Attached /var/log/syslog but I don't really see a difference there.
