Public bug reported:

ubuntu 14.04

Trying to start a VNC server with tightvncserver, I get this error:

Warning: ubuntu:0 is taken because of /tmp/.X0-lock
Remove this file if there is no X server ubuntu:0
A VNC server is already running as :0

but there is no lock file in /tmp and there's no VNC process running.

** Affects: tightvnc (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
