Sorry, but man dmesg doesn't hack it :-) The problem is that, as said elsewhere in the many discussions about boot-time logging, these messages do not appear in any of the system log files - /var/log/dmesg included. It's for that reason that I had to resort to video to capture the messages and be able to read them and resolve the underlying problem.
