I am having this same issue with my Thinkpad W510 Touchscreen (Wacom). https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input- evdev/+bug/1321351
If you google for HP TouchSmart Phantom Touches then you will get reports of others having this issue. This being said I don't think it is software related. http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Display-and-Video/HP-Envy- Touchsmart-15-Ghost-touch/td-p/2870001 A temp fix to see if it is your touchscreen is next time it happens, open a console and type "xinput list" to get a list of devices, then grab the numeric ID, say 15 for instance. Then run "xinput disable 15". Your issues should immediately stop. It sucks, I know. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/749567 Title: Mouse cursor jumps and clicks randomly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-evdev/+bug/749567/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
