my nautilus also crashes as root. 
I can start nautilus as root, but when I want to change the properties of my 
usb-stick it crashes with the following:

sudo -i
nautilus

(nautilus:5901): Gtk-WARNING **: Failed to register client: 
GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name 
org.gnome.SessionManager was not provided by any .service files
Initializing nautilus-open-terminal extension
Nautilus-Share-Message: Called "net usershare info" but it failed: »net 
usershare« gab den Fehler 255 zurück: net usershare: cannot open usershare 
directory /var/lib/samba/usershares. Error Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
Please ask your system administrator to enable user sharing.
