Another problem I encountered with this "easy" workaround is that my wireless usb frequently disconnects and needs to be restarted (I made a little script to restart network-manager when I can not ping the gateway). This disconnects do not happen when I comment out "options snd-hda-intel vid=8086 pid=8ca0 snoop=0".
