Public bug reported:

Boot up from CD is o.k. on my Pavillion dv5040us Notebook until the
wireless driver tries to load. then you get errors. Wireless doesn't
work. I have a broadcom 4311 wireless card. I have tried the online
fixes, but each one ends in rebooting the computer. Nothing from RAM is
saved to the DVD so on reboot, all changes are lost. No luck with Gutsy
Gibbon either. All downloads I have tried to date won't even boot at
all. Just frozen screens. Unless I can get wireless I won't even think
of switching to Ubuntu.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
