My shame: I found very strange I couldn't get ipv4 from dhcp (nor connect by changing "Auto Ethernet" connection to manual settings) but at the same moment dmesg showed the link was up so I tried ping, didn't work for sure because....pfff don't know why... then tried arp-scan -I Eth1 --localnet .... error, then arp-scan -I Eth1192.168.0.0/24 which replied with all my network devices.... then I discovered the said "Auto Ethernet" connection "Ethernet" tab had the MAC field set to the previous USB/Eth Realtek I used before. Everything seems ok, both in current kernel and mainstream. Tags updated. So: My shame. Sorry for the noise.
