System: Xubuntu 14.10 64-bit Daily Build from 02 Jul 2014 with
additionally installed MATE desktop 1.8.
MATE terminal in Ubuntu needs patching to support mouse scroll in certain
console apps like man.
Mouse scroll works in Xfce and Gnome terminals. I think the patch from Gnome
terminal can be applied as MATE is a fork of Gnome so there are many
similarities in their codebases.
