Unfortunately, that did not go so well. Despite the claim on the home page of parted, I still get that error for even a simple layout as mine. I used the latest version in Debian testing (unstable has the same version) to update the latest Knoppix Live CD. The update succeeded but the failure remains. The error message changed a little.
