I also initially thought it was a duplicate but I did the following test: - Generate a crash file - Reboot to ensure whoopsie grabs the crash file and uploads it - After upload (.uploaded file is created) find the OOPS id from /var/log/syslog and compare with the output of GetIdentifier
For https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/5946fd34-08d6-11e4-b04b-fa163e4aaad4 for example the SysId is: a2f5...9f81 And the SysId returned by GetIdentifier is: 40a5...7a94 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1340063 Title: System identifier returned by GetIdentifier dbus method differs from identifier on errors.u.c To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/whoopsie/+bug/1340063/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
