I'm running Ubuntu Feisty Fawn on an Intel based iMac with ATIgraphics card, I'm using fglrx as a drive an am running a custom compiled Linux 2.6.22.1 I don't think this has an influence though since I noticed the problem prior to the upgrade and will verify after my next reboot. I'm using the OpenGL output module of VLC and hardware acceleration is working (verified today with xmoto and Nexuiz) VLC is version 0.8.6 from the Ubuntu repositries.
