Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: tar

GNU 'tar' command produces a core dump
(100% reproducible) when used with -z
and --concatenate options at the same time.

=Steps to reproduce =

1/ Run the following command (files "foo" and "bar"
files don't need to exist):

  $ tar -z --concatenate -f foo  bar
  Aborted (core dumped)

2/ observe that tar command aborted with core dump.

=Expected behavior=

The options to tar might be silly in above example.
However, in that case it should report an error message
or display the usage, and not abort with core dump.

I am using Ubuntu-6.06.1 (dapper) with all updates
at the time of reporting bug.

  $ tar --version
  tar (GNU tar) 1.15.1

PS: I also see the same bug on a RedHat machine which
uses tar (GNU tar) 1.14.

** Affects: tar (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed
