I just installed kubuntu 14.04 and the library is not present in there. The
library is very important because with the default library, if your smartcard
has several partitions, opensc will ask for the pin of EVERY partition for
EVERY authentication process.
Example:
I have an official Finnish Identity Card (FINeID) which contains 2 signatures.
One general for email signing and such and one special for signing documents
through specific government systems.
With the default library, the both pins are always asked, e.g. if I just want
to sing an email. In that case, I don't need the second certificate and
authenticating it, actually produces a security risk because the second
certificate is activated without need.
With the onepin version of the library, only the actually needed pin is asked.

Please update the status of this bug to "security relevant" and
reinstate the openpin module.
