I have the same problem with orage on a fresh ubuntu studio (with xfce) 14.04. selecting en_GB during install but living in Vienna/Austria, I get german calendar days, months and time settings. I installed the california calendar from the yorba/daily ppa which also shows the german names instead of the english ones. It would be interesting to know where they get their data from.
