sam, thanks for the report. Launchpad shows that the executable was already 
called "pdfsam" in 12.04, and as far back as 10.04.

So I don't know how you got a PDF Split and Merge executable that wasn't
called "pdfsam" to begin with, but you can rest easy that your renaming
didn't cause any changes to the app directory.
