Public bug reported:

Fresh installation of Ubuntu alongside with pre-existing Windows8 on
ASUS U500VZ notebook, SSD RAID. Can't achieve boot to Windows from GRUB
while UEFI boots both systems no problems.

$ sudo os-prober
/dev/mapper/isw_bhiiigeffb_RAID0SYS7:Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS (14.04):Ubuntu:linux

does not see Windows.

boot-repair sees Windows, but asks to disable Security Boot feature
that doesn't seem to be possible on this EFI implementation.
