Um, no, not expired, still a very real bug! Just because i don't have time to sit around and compiling kernels with incremental changes doesn't mean the problem has gone away.
The only way i've gotten around this is to remove the nouveau module altogether. I blacklisted the module in /etc/modprobe.d/ but this, by itself, wasn't enough because the module was loaded by the ram disk image when booting the computer. I had to rebuild /boot/initrd.img-3.13.0-32-generic to remove the module from there aswell, and will do every time there's a kernel update until this bug is fixed. In case anyone is still interested in fixing this problem, it appears as though between the -24 and the -27 kernels the nouveau module won't unload itself when a laptop suspends. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1324697 Title: [HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC] Suspend fails with kernel 3.13.0-27 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1324697/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
