I notice a problem inside a guest virtualbox kubuntu 14.04.1 64bit edition; 3d
does not work properly

GLX_OML_swap_method, GLX_SGIS_multisample, GLX_SGIX_fbconfig,
GLX_SGIX_pbuffer, GLX_SGI_make_current_read
virtualbox-guest-x11 and virtualbox-guest-dkms are already at latest
version
please note that the old ubuntu 12.04.04 works pefectly

as far as I know thi is a problem of the guest addition as you can read from
the Vbox forum
