Public bug reported: Well, modify a parameter of swappiness in /etc/sysctl.conf is ignored in Ubuntu 14.10. After restart a OS there used a default value, 60. When I run in terminal:
lukasz@lukasz-Lenovo-G565:~$ sudo sysctl vm.swappiness=10 [sudo] password for lukasz: vm.swappiness = 10 lukasz@lukasz-Lenovo-G565:~$ cat /proc/sys/vm/swappiness 10 lukasz@lukasz-Lenovo-G565:~$ It's work well, but this work only for now used session. Or I make something bad, and swappiness value are modify pernamently by other way. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 utopic ** Tags added: utopic ** Tags added: amd64 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1352192 Title: swappiness settings are ignored by system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1352192/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
