Sadly I am unable to perform the BIOS update, as flashrom complains that "Management Engine region is locked", FreeDOS crashes with a "Interrupt divide by zero" immediately on booting, and I don't have access to windows. I guess I'll have to live with the workaround for now.
Fixing the problem should however not require a BIOS update, as the bug is a regression (Ubuntu Precise did not suffer from it, until some update introduced the problem). I of course understand that the BIOS upgrade might still have fixed the problem (if the earlier working condition involved two wrongs making a right), and that you want to test on an up-to-date BIOS to avoid unnecessary work, but unfortunately I can not help you help me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1352461 Title: IRQ conflict disables wired network on cold (first) boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1352461/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
