hmm, /etc/lxc/default.conf already had "lxc.network.hwaddr = 00:16:3e:xx:xx:xx" in my env. Besides, I have changed the line in /var/lib/lxc/<ORIG_CONTAINER>/config. It works for me as a workaround.
